Dr. Paulina D. Rullán-Farinacci, MD

Dr. Paulina Rullán-Farinacci is a physician and emerging leader at the intersection of integrative psychiatry and psychedelic-assisted therapies. She is among the first physicians in Puerto Rico certified in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Psychedelic Sitting and Harm Reduction (Ketamine Training Center; ZENDO), and the first within psychiatry.
At Pravan Foundation, Dr. Rullán-Farinacci serves as Director of Education & Research, where she provides strategic oversight of the Foundation’s educational and research initiatives. Her work focuses on ensuring that all efforts are grounded in clinical integrity, ethical practice, and cultural relevance, while helping advance research and public education that can transform the mental health landscape in Puerto Rico.
Paulina’s craft sits at the intersection of clinical care, research, and education, with a focus on expanding access to innovative, evidence-based mental health treatments. She currently serves as Principal Investigator of KIND-PR, Puerto Rico’s first clinical trial evaluating esketamine with and without psychedelic-informed psychotherapy for treatment-resistant depression.
As part of her research and academic roles within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Puerto Rico, she leads psychedelic medicine initiatives within the department, integrating scientific rigor with community-centered and culturally informed approaches to healing. She also contributes to the development of training and educational initiatives in psychedelic medicine, supporting the next generation of clinicians in this emerging field.
Dr. Rullán-Farinacci is also co-founder of Sattva Clinic, an integrative psychiatry practice in Puerto Rico focused on whole-person mental health care, including ketamine-assisted therapies.
